Above-and-beyond hospitality during the Hawk Fire evacuation Positive: We stayed at this cozy pet-friendly cabin during the recent Reno Hawk Fire evacuation, and I can't say enough good things about how the host, Lori, took care of us. We reached out late on a weekend night with no advance notice, and she still managed to accommodate our family without hesitation. When the power went out across the area due to the emergency fire shutdown affecting Tahoe, Lori stayed on top of things and made sure we were comfortable regardless. The cabin itself was fantastic. It was stocked with more supplies than we've ever seen at a rental — plenty of everything we could possibly need, which made a stressful evacuation so much easier to manage. The house was clean, quiet, and well cared for. If you're familiar with Tahoe-area properties, you'll know the rustic cabin style is part of the charm here, and this place delivers exactly that authentic feel while still being comfortable and well-equipped. The fenced-in yard was a great bonus for our pet. Highly recommend this property, and especially grateful for Lori's flexibility and responsiveness when we needed it most. Negative: Honestly nothing worth mentioning. The rustic style is exactly what you sign up for with a Tahoe cabin, so nothing there felt like a downside.
