It is a large unit that seems to be newly remodeled/renovated. We loved the high ceilings. Great location at Northstar village, and it is right by the gondola. Close to the shops and restaurant. Convenient parking with good amenities. In our favorites list for the winter season.

A quality home in a great location with all the ameninites needed for a comfortable stay!
Positive: there was an excellent assortment of dishes and cooking equipment, including napkins and paper towels. The AC was excellent, the hot tob nice and warm , the BBQ was used daily, and the gas fireplace in the outdoor table was great!

Wonderful cabin right in the heart of Tahoe.  Only 5 minutes from downtown Truckee but secluded enough to also experience the joy of nature.  We absolutely loved our stay here!

Our stay at the condo was perfect!  It had everything we needed including a beautiful view to the ski slopes.  It was close to the pool and other amenities.  The kitchen was like new and fully equipped!  We loved the balcony with its high table and chairs.  Everything was spotless!  Lori was a great communicator and available if we needed her.  We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was big, beautiful, and had plenty of space for our family. The location was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Lori was very responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Fantastic stay in Truckee! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. Quick drive to the lake, and peaceful at night. Check-in was seamless and Lori was responsive and thoughtful throughout. Would absolutely stay again, highly recommend!

My name is Lori and I started Sierra Getaways (formerly known as Tahoe Five Star Hosting) because I fell in love with hosting guests and helping them make the best memories. I will be your host during your stay at all the amazing Sierra Getaways vacation rentals that I'm lucky enough to manage in the North Lake Tahoe area. The location and views are truly spectacular! Lori was incredibly sweet and accommodating during some hiccups that happened at check-in due to the previous guests. She is a great host and went above and beyond to make up for it. Aside from that, we had such a relaxing and peaceful vacation, and I was happy that the house and deck were easy to walk around for my grandparents. We really enjoyed watching the rafters — it made for great entertainment on the deck. Hope to come back again soon!

Lori’s space is beautiful. The palisades are the perfect location with plenty to offer within walking distance (shopping and restaurants) and just a short drive to Kings Beach, Truckee River for rafting, and even a fun ropes course further down the property. My kids loved utilizing the pool and spa on site. The condo is spotless with updated appliances and fixtures, has plenty of sleeping space, and plenty of blankets/towels . It was so convenient to have a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, and a washer/dryer. My family was so comfortable there for 3 nights and we didn’t need for anything. My kids loved having the loft space all to themselves! Lori was so helpful and welcoming with plenty of great suggestions for our family to do while in Tahoe. Lori had great communication throughout the entire process (from booking to check in to check out). We had an amazing time and felt spoiled being able to stay in her condo for the weekend. We will most definitely book again and recommend highly.

This is one of the best rentals we have ever had the privilege of staying in. I am an interior designer, and my own home is pretty and tidy and it never really feels like a treat to be staying somewhere else unless there is something special and above and beyond the norm. This place is so special! The waterfront location is dreamy, the decor and overall vibe is very cosy and sophisticated and we all had so much fun floating down the river straight from the backyard. A+ experience. We will definitely come back if ever in the area again.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this home! It was exactly as described—new, cozy, and very welcoming. The layout was perfect for our group of two families with young children, giving everyone plenty of space while still having a comfortable common area to spend time together.<br/>The kitchen was very well stocked with high-quality dishes, cookware, and everything we needed to prepare meals. We also appreciated all of the mountain home amenities and the thoughtful baby items that made traveling with our little one much easier. Our host was also responsive, kind, and thoroughly communicative throughout our stay, which made everything even smoother.<br/>The location was excellent, with so many restaurants, activities, and attractions within about a 15-minute drive. Overall, this was a fantastic home base for our Truckee/Northstar trip, and we would happily stay here again! We look forward to making a winter trip out here to make the most of the ski in/out experience.

We loved the week we spent in this private and modern home! There were four adults and two teens, and we had plenty of room both indoors and out. We loved how the space was arranged, with a large common area upstairs and a big private bedroom/bathroom/seating area on the ground level. It was so nice having a garage that could fit our two EVs, with fast charging that was super easy to use. We also loved the deck out back, which looked onto the gorgeous woods just below. And speaking of the woods, there was a lovely hiking and running path through the forest that — with an entrance just a few feet from the home. We'd highly recommend this place, and we'd love to come back ourselves. The icing on the cake was fast internet, multiple workspaces that made it easy to connect our laptops for Zoom meetings, and an extremely well stocked kitchen that had everything we could ask for. Including a Fellow grinder and hot water kettle!
