Above-and-beyond hospitality during the Hawk Fire evacuation
Positive: We stayed at this cozy pet-friendly cabin during the recent Reno Hawk Fire evacuation, and I can't say enough good things about how the host, Lori, took care of us. We reached out late on a weekend night with no advance notice, and she still managed to accommodate our family without hesitation. When the power went out across the area due to the emergency fire shutdown affecting Tahoe, Lori stayed on top of things and made sure we were comfortable regardless.

The cabin itself was fantastic. It was stocked with more supplies than we've ever seen at a rental — plenty of everything we could possibly need, which made a stressful evacuation so much easier to manage. The house was clean, quiet, and well cared for. If you're familiar with Tahoe-area properties, you'll know the rustic cabin style is part of the charm here, and this place delivers exactly that authentic feel while still being comfortable and well-equipped. The fenced-in yard was a great bonus for our pet.

Highly recommend this property, and especially grateful for Lori's flexibility and responsiveness when we needed it most.
Negative: Honestly nothing worth mentioning. The rustic style is exactly what you sign up for with a Tahoe cabin, so nothing there felt like a downside.

Lori’s condo was inviting, clean, at a great location and had everything I needed. The kitchen was well equipped even with the basic essentials such as herbs, oils, s&p, baggies, foil and cling wrap as well as proper cleaning supplies ❤️😊<br/>Excellent coffee options (Peet’s dark roast!) provided. The perfect softness of towels and the bed and pillows surrounded me in absolute cloud heaven after a day of hiking. Shirley Canyon direct on site! <br/>I loved watching the tram come and go with my morning read and coffee on the porch.  Lori was always quick to respond if I had any questions. I look forward to coming again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Tahoe. Thank you Lori

AWESOME!!!!!!! Absolutely loved our week in Tahoe at Lori's property right on the Truckee River... fishing, tubing, right out your back door! Plenty of bikes provided for the whole family to jump right on the bike/run/walk path 20 feet out the front door! So convenient to everything! Beautiful setting, absolutely one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed at! Lori is sweet and so quick to respond to any questions... would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Wonderful stay! The location is unbeatable and the lake was visible through the trees from the deck. Extremely commodious for our group and you could hardly ask for better stock as I could make coffee in like 20 different ways in the kitchen. We appreciated the ease of check-in. The only issue was the presence of some ants on the entry level but this is to be expected in Tahoe where nature will make itself known.

Overall: Great host & gorgeous view. No A/C - be careful booking during summer <br/>TLDR: Lori's place has all the amenities you need for a nice family vacation & a GORGEOUS view of the water. However--like almost all buildings in town--it does not have A/C. We were unfortunately there during a heat wave & our baby got very sick from how hot it became in the unit. Lori & her son were incredibly responsive: they brough by fans &--when our baby was still sick--an A/C unit to cool down the room he stayed in. <br/>It's a great place to stay, but be careful booking in this area (not unique to this unit) if you or your travel companions are heat sensitive.

Lori is an incredible host, one of the best that I have had the opportunity to stay with. She is incredibly professional and will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a relaxing stay. I've stayed at multiple properties of hers and each one is thoughtfully designed, clean, and accurately described. Lori is readily available to help with anything that you may need during your visit, and is very knowledgable of each property and the surrounding area. I would strongly recommend any of her properties to guests considering staying with her.

We had an amazing stay at this property! The house and surroundings were perfect! The house itself was even more beautiful than the pictures, which is a rare find! It was so clean and incredibly well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed to make great meals that we enjoyed on the gorgeous deck. We all had a blast watching the rafters float by and the kids loved playing in the river and catching crawdads! Lori was a fantastic host and was super responsive the few times we had to contact her. In all of my decades visiting Tahoe, this was by far one of our best trips!

Highly recommend! Stayed for a week long conference at Everline and the location was an easy quick drive over. The lodge WiFi was quick for work. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals and we loved the different food options in the village. The host was also very responsive to questions and accommodating. Would definitely return!

Such a beautiful condo unit conveniently located, but still feels very private. It was great in the summer. I can't even imagine how wonderful it would be to stay here in the winter. Would definitely recommend staying. And the host was very responsive and made some great recommendations on dinner places and things to do.

It is a large unit that seems to be newly remodeled/renovated. We loved the high ceilings. Great location at Northstar village, and it is right by the gondola. Close to the shops and restaurant. Convenient parking with good amenities. In our favorites list for the winter season.
