My name is Lori and I started Sierra Getaways (formerly known as Tahoe Five Star Hosting) because I fell in love with hosting guests and helping them make the best memories. Truthfully, we didn’t have to contact Lori for anything. We had everything we needed plus more! There was a ton of amenities she provided that we didn’t not except this Air bnb would have at all. Such as, wine cups, things to make coffee, tons of pots and pans… It honestly felt like you were living in your own home. It was a cozy and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the fire place and the peaceful atmosphere.

Lori was super easy to communicate with. My friends and I had an amazing time. The place was clean and spacious. Close by north Lake Tahoe perfect getaway we needed. Definitely would book again.

Piney Woods is a great place.  The cabin was perfect in every respect. Comfortable homey feeling. The beds were very comfortable and the bedroom well appointed. The bathrooms were spotless with plenty of fresh towels. We cannot say enough about this lovely retreat from the hustle. The property was widest and the host was on top of everything. 5 Stars all around.

This place was perfect for our mountain bike stay. Near the entry, close to food. Only negative is you have to pay 10 bucks a person for the pool. But we loved it

Lori’s place is amazing. Breath taking views that will make you loose hours. So peaceful but so close to fun restaurants in Kings Beach. The pier was a great place to swim in the lake or soak up the last of the sunshine. Lori was a great host and very easy to communicate with. <br/>Best place I have rented in Lake Tahoe. We will be back!

Cozy Condo In a Nice Location!
Positive: The condo was comfy and centrally located to exploring the area by car. While the village was kind of dead because it is off season, we did eat at a few places and enjoyed a coffee spot across the way. The balcony was also enjoyable. The kitchen was also well-equipped for cooking. Overall it was a nice place to stay!
Negative: The lights were hard to figure out, and many seemed to flicker when used, so the inside was a little dark. Also, there is not a washing machine/dryer in unit, but instead pay-for-use units in the hall. My trip was only a week, so I didn’t need the laundry, but be aware that, although available, they are not in the actual unit and not free.

It was a great stay! The location was perfect, super clean, and very private with parking right in front of the condo. It had everything we needed, including a washer, dryer, and cooking essentials. The beds were super comfy, and everything felt fresh and clean. The house does make some normal older-home noises, so I’d suggest bringing earplugs for the first night. Other than that, it was a beautiful stay!

The place was great. It was very clean, the inside looked exactly like the pictures and the surroundings were incredible. Also, Lori shared with us a local guide that helped us a lot. Definitely we will return again. It is a great option to enjoy with family and recharge your energy.

We had a great stay! We were 2 families traveling together, and there was plenty of space, and everyone was comfortable. Love when the teens have their own floor! The photos are all accurate. Loved the sunset view from the deck, AC worked well, and it was convenient to be so close to town. I'd stay here again.

Lori’s place in King’s Beach is a perfect location to make as your home base at Lake Tahoe. There are tons of things to do nearby and getting to either side of the lake was easy. Lori was very responsive and provided clear communications when we needed it. She was also very accommodating to our needs with challenging flight and travel schedules. It was also a good size for our family of five.

Cozy cabin that has everything you need for a comfortable stay; everything was very clean and welcoming, and the kitchen well-appointed. Lori even went out of her way to drop off a couple of fans, some firewood, and an HOA beach pass from another house (shhhhhh!)  at my request. When some rain swept into the area, driving me from the lovely beach indoors, I gathered some of the abundant pine cones on the property to use as kindling, cooked up a warm fire in the super easy-to-use wood stove, made a cup of hot tea, and curled up for a peaceful evening. Overall I give Lori, the property, and the beautiful, woodsy neighborhood of Carnelian Bay the thumbs up!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. We were a group of seven, three couples and a single. The house had everything you could possibly want. The private beach is a true gem. We had a ball playing cornhole down there and floating in the water. Be sure to bring sturdy tubes to float. The outdoor area was so comfortable, we spent most afternoons & evenings there before and after dinner. <br/> We’ll be coming back!

Positive: Very nice condo! It was very peaceful at night, and the beds were comfortable. All 5 of us enjoyed our stay. Lori was great about communicating with my daughter and myself when we were checking in. All of our questions were quickly answered. Totally recommend this rental.
Negative: There weren't any washcloths. Not sure if they were just forgotten, or if that's what they do.

Positive: Nice and cozy place
Negative: That u got to go thru bathroom to get to one room and then go thru garage to go to 2 other rooms. Very inconvenient for people who’s using that room. Always people traffic there 
Plus it’s very cold in those 2 garage rooms. But heaters helped somewhat.
