Wonderful stay and stocked with everything you need Positive: We had such a great stay at this property! The place was clean, organized, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the amenities and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Lori was responsive and helpful throughout our stay! You can tell a lot of thought went into making the space comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Above-and-beyond hospitality during the Hawk Fire evacuation Positive: We stayed at this cozy pet-friendly cabin during the recent Reno Hawk Fire evacuation, and I can't say enough good things about how the host, Lori, took care of us. We reached out late on a weekend night with no advance notice, and she still managed to accommodate our family without hesitation. When the power went out across the area due to the emergency fire shutdown affecting Tahoe, Lori stayed on top of things and made sure we were comfortable regardless. The cabin itself was fantastic. It was stocked with more supplies than we've ever seen at a rental — plenty of everything we could possibly need, which made a stressful evacuation so much easier to manage. The house was clean, quiet, and well cared for. If you're familiar with Tahoe-area properties, you'll know the rustic cabin style is part of the charm here, and this place delivers exactly that authentic feel while still being comfortable and well-equipped. The fenced-in yard was a great bonus for our pet. Highly recommend this property, and especially grateful for Lori's flexibility and responsiveness when we needed it most. Negative: Honestly nothing worth mentioning. The rustic style is exactly what you sign up for with a Tahoe cabin, so nothing there felt like a downside.

To start, I’ve never written a negative Airbnb review. We were excited to visit Tahoe with our 6 year old, 1 year old and dog. However this property was inaccurately described, dirty, and unsafe for our children. We’re disappointed we paid what we did.
The listing says the beach is a 10 min walk. We chose this house so it would be accessible for our kids. This is false. The beach is a 30 min walk along a highway with no walking path and a massive hill.
Upon arrival there was fresh dog poop in the yard, which our dog immediately ate.
The living room had a giant jumble of electrical cords (plugged in) and a thick extension cord running underneath the rug which made the rug not lie flat and our kids tripped over it constantly.
Our son is autistic and has mobility issues so this was a major problem. And we spent much of the weekend keeping our 1 year old away from the jumble of electrical cords.
There was a pile of someone’s clothes left on the dryer and human hair in the sheets.

My family has been vacationing in Tahoe since before I was born and we’ve stayed in a lot of beautiful places. This house is definitely one I will come back to. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and having two bathrooms was a plus. The shower, kitchen, deck and living spaces were all great. Lori responded to all of my questions in a timely manner and was very helpful.

Piney Woods is a great place. The cabin was perfect in every respect. Comfortable homey feeling. The beds were very comfortable and the bedroom well appointed. The bathrooms were spotless with plenty of fresh towels. We cannot say enough about this lovely retreat from the hustle. The property was widest and the host was on top of everything. 5 Stars all around.
